Zachary and Jacob love camping!

The boys take a brief (very brief) rest in front on the camper! On to the next adventure!

Learning how to skip rocks and making a general mess....Good Times!!! A friend owns some land on the side of a mountain in Sugar Grove, WV. There is a beautiful stream, two stocked fish ponds and electricity (it's just enough to be rustic!!!!

Zachary is a big boy now! He was so excited and not a bit scared. (The Parents were more emotional than Zach!)

Casey and I "traded up" from good ole' tent camping to more modern convenience in the backwoods. First a blog and now a camper... seems opposite but are both are technologically advanced so to speak!

Zachary enjoys his orange "pop pop"! Jacob needs 100 % concentration to make sure his popcicle stick is completely clean!

Amy's Birthday Weekend!

Had a great time at the National Zoo! We went very early in the morning to avoid the crowds, I don't think the boys were awake yet!

Luckily, the baby Panda was awake and hard at play!

Teaching Jacob to swim is going too well at this point....he's now skipping the whole "1, 2, 3 Go!" part! He's fearless, thank goodness for swimmies!

We are currently in training for the 2020 Olympic games!

Last few weeks....

Much has happened since our last post, here's a recap:


Jacob tripped with his sippy cup in his mouth and split his lip, resulting in our first visit to the ER! One stitch later and one tough little boy made it a relatively smooth visit! But, the sippy cups have been retired!


Zachary (and Casey) underwent a sleep study and we are awaiting the results.

Our basement flooded with the incessant rain.

Amy is learning how to post video clips so stay tuned for some backyard antics!

I must give credit to my cousin Ian and the new addition to his family for inspiring me to start a blog for our family! With so many of us spread all over the Country, it's a a great way for everyone to stay up-to-date with our family! We are definitely high-tech now....
